Sewer Access


Hollidays meant less time on the project but things are picking up again.  They will slow down again as we get closer to the 7DRL challenge as I'm planning on participating again this year, and this year making an actual top down ascii grid rogue like...

Sewer Access
We now have multiple z levels and a working system to move up and down between the roads and sewers.  This also meant creating a model and sprite system so we can soon add doors to the houses and internal walls.  We also added a simple "collision detection" system to stop ourselves from walking through building walls or into the void in the sewers.

Next Steps
Let's add some life to the city now that we have a good basic layout!  The plan is to mix and pick some implementations of city building/simulating games like simcity and skylines, and city building naming and purpose tables from old school reference charts.  Then once resources  are flowing through the city we'll add the actors to walk around from resource to resource.  At that point the city should be less of a ghost town and more like a busy metropolis!
